Business / Program Analyst

Position Code: TIC-BPA

  

Modern IT Partners is hiring contract-based individuals for long-term contracts. Through this role the applicant will have the responsibility for managing all programs and technologies across the enterprise and expected to anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues, recommend process, product, or service improvements; solve unique and complex problems, lead a team. Identifies, elicits, documents, and communicates technology requirements based on the strategic plans and project arrays for the customer’s departments.

The applicant must become knowledgeable of both the business needs and the related information technologies and assist in addressing those needs.

In addition, the applicant will verify that the collective programs produce the required deliverables of quality, completion within the specified constraints of time and cost to achieve the benefits defined in the business case, as well as provide the status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership.

Role responsibilities

As a business analyst you will use data analysis skills and expertise to help businesses grow and succeed by examining different aspects of the business's operations to identify areas for improvement. 

You will perform feasibility analyses and risk management reviews on projects and initiatives to ensure they're realistic to accomplish given the resources, timeline and context and present requirements to project teams. In addition, you will:

  • Evaluate business processes and find areas of improvement.
  • Meet with collaborators and executives to discuss business goals.
  • Identify ways to save money or increase revenue by improving business processes.
  • Present ideas to interested parties on effective ways to improve productivity.
  • Document changes and shares data with interested parties
  • Train employees on new procedures and strategies
  • Listen to feedback about changes from shareholders and executives.
  • interpret a wide range of information and use the findings to make recommendations.
  • Understand the problems of a program and propose suitable solutions.
  • Analyze programs, policies, procedures, and systems and make recommendations for optimization.
  • Draft new or revised policies and procedures for our organization’s computer programs.
  • Assist program managers with the development of budgets and schedules, as well as tracking metrics.
  • Assess and advise on potential issues related to costs, schedules, and performance.
  • Counsel program managers regarding planning, testing, and implementing new programs or systems.
  • Identify and resolve IT issues and problems.

Position Qualifications 

  • B.A or B.S. with at least 8 years specialized experience aligning business requirements to information technology solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of business processes and objectives and be able to align IT systems with those objectives.
  • Experience and success managing an Enterprise level IT portfolio for complex and secure information systems meeting business objectives and strategies. 
  • Certified Management Consultant (CMC) preferred.
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred.

Compensation

$90,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
